These durable uppers also feature Kenetrek’s flex-notch design and extra padding in the collars for superior comfort. Heavy-duty, full-length, 7 mm nylon midsoles provide superior support and stability over uneven terrain, while the reinforced rubber sole guards around the bottom of the upper give extra protection against rock abrasion. Waterproof/breathable Windtex membrane technology inside the boot keeps feet dry and comfortable. Lightweight, low-bulk 400 gram Thinsulate Insulation helps the Mountain Extreme block out the cold when the mountain air starts cooling off. Exclusive, high traction K-Talon outsoles feature an aggressive and toothy multi-directional lug design with deep relief and an open tread pattern for good footing in the snow, mud, or dry ground. Traction teeth at the toe and heel provide extra grip going up and down slopes.
